Atacama Consulting is a distinguished Environmental and Social (E&S) Consultancy firm in Uganda that was established in 2005. The firm offers client-centric E&S solutions across diverse sectors that include; Energy (Renewable, non-renewable), Financial services (Banking and Insurance), Transport, Tourism, Agriculture, Mining, Manufacturing, Telecommunication and Health. The footprint of the firm’s services extends beyond East Africa to parts of Southern Africa, West Africa and South East Asia The firm is focused on delivering practical E&S strategies that are anchored in sustainable development practices by adhering to the relevant national legal and regulatory frameworks and in tandem with good industry practices/applicable international sustainability standards. The firm has successfully conducted consultancy assignments in the public and private sector for various clients that include; multinational corporations, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), government parastatals and institutions, private sector and international development organisations, among others. Additionally, Atacama Consulting operates an Integrated Management System that is certified to ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) and the relevant certification is in place. Additionally, the firm is onboarding ISO 27001: 2022 (Information Security Management System).
