Who we are

British Chamber Of Commerce Uganda (BCCU)

British Chambers of Commerce exist all over the globe and when implemented successfully, BCCs are effective tools to lobby for the interests of the UK business community. The primary objective of the BCCU is to improve the business environment for our members through networking, partnerships, advocacy, marketing and ad-hoc activities. The UK business community is one of the most powerful groups in Uganda, and using our collective bargaining power, we will play a positive role in building prosperity for all.

BCCU Objectives:

  • To be a platform for British and Ugandan companies to network, learn and explore business opportunities in Uganda and the UK.
  • Protect UK business interests in Uganda.
  • Provide business and professional guidance or support, where applicable, to its members or Uganda companies considering doing business in the UK or British companies looking to invest in Uganda.
  • Promote the development of UK and Uganda business and economic relations.
  • Promote awareness of the business, commercial, industrial and professional expertise of its members.

The British Chambers of Commerce sits at the heart of a unique network of businesses of all sizes across all sectors, within the UK and around the world. We believe it’s our relationships that lead us to achieve goals beyond those we could ever achieve alone.

We’re the only organization that helps British businesses to build relationships on every level. Across our Network, we can connect your business locally, nationally and internationally, with other businesses, with decision-makers and with opportunities. We’re also a respected voice for business. Our opinions are regularly sought by policymakers and parliamentarians and we’ve been helping to shape the UK’s business agenda for more than 160 years.

The Chamber Network sits at the heart of local business communities in every part of the UK, helping businesses of every size and sector to thrive.
